My Introduction

Hello,

After owning my Honda Prelude for 10 years (bought New), it was time for an upgrade.

I've always loved cars for as long as I could remember and it was always a dream to own an "exotic". Two months ago, I was already set on a New BMW 335 Coupe. I was just waiting for my schedule to clear up so I could place the order. Then, all of a sudden an idea popped into my head. Why not look into a used Porsche instead.

I started looking at 2006 Cayman, then Cayman S
After three weeks of intense searching, I came across one that caught my eye.
Today, I brought her home. She's a New 2007 Cayman S

I was a nervous wreck driving home. I'll be going easy till I get used to the feel of the car.
Specs are:
Premium Package
Bi-Xenon Headlamps
Sport Chrono Package
19" Carrera S Wheels

And I already signed up for PCA

Congrats on making your deal! Car looks great. Try to stop by one of the first sunday eurostage events in Aventura for a GTG.

Congratulations - I never get tired of hearing the great back stories that lead each of us to that exciting purchase decision.

And thanks for posting the excellent pics.

great photos!! Very nice contrast and use of depth of field.

What camera/lens combo are you using. Lens looks like 50mm fixed at about F2.0?

Here is a recent shot of my beauty

Thanks everyone.

Hehehe Didn't know pointing the crest to the valve stem is normally how wheels are photographed

Unfortunately I had to return my DSLR since it was acting up. So now, I'm waiting to get the new Canon XSi/450D. So these pics were taken with a Canon Point and Shoot. SD700 I think (it was my brother's). The rest were photoshop

Yes

The Valve stems are traditionally found by looking for the point in the crest. Some people believe that this was started at LeMans in the Pits. A way for the crew members to find the valve stem quickly.

Photoshop is just as good. And as my colleagues say, why do we spend so much money on this camera gear anyway. Anyone can grab a nice shot with a point and click these days.

Enjoy

Tremendous Pics-- PCNA should pay you for them. An expensive studio shoot could do no better.

Congratulations.

Thanks everyone

I'm still in awe by the curves on this car. Need to find a nice area to take more shots.
Will definitely keep you all posted.

Lol! I just put my summer wheels/tires on today and put the caps on pointing towards the valve stems just cuz it seemed right. Later on I went out in the dark to check the tire pressures and was glad I had them pointing .

That color is the greatest. No really!

Enjoy it, and trust me, when you get to the "drive it like you stole it part," your smile gets permanently etched on your face.

Welcome to the Club!
