OMG I'm in love! Got my Cayman yesterday!

After many years of unabashed desire for a Porsche, I finally bought me one!

I was that kid that spent hours face down in Motor Trend, C&D and R&T when all the other kids were reading Car Craft and Hot Rod. My dream car was always the 911. I just knew I'd have one. Went out yesterday to test drive a couple of used 911's. Nice cars.

I stopped at Momentum Porsche on my way home. Saleperson suggested I drive a Cayman. Long story short... I was hooked! By far the best handling car I've ever driven! Bought it, love it!

It's a base Cayman, with few options. Just how I wanted it. The car I traded was a Mercedes CL500, quite possibly the most complicated (and troublesome) car on the planet. I wanted SIMPLE, a pure sports car (to my eye at least). This little silver Cayman is it. It fits me like it was molded around me, everything feels so familiar... not a lot of geegaws to distract me. I does have the Chrono, though. That's just too cool to believe...

Smile

Congrats! My thoughts also. Keep it simple & make it a driver's car. I did just the same after giving up my 356SC 25 years ago & waiting for the 07 CS. One look at the first Cayman pictures & it was love at first sight. ENJOY.

Wow. I sometimes forget how great those lines look in Arctic Silver. I love your first picture. It really captures the car.
