Cayman S Sport PCM install??

May be getting a good deal on an 08 Cayman S Sport...only thing, no PCM 2.1 I use it for business and would like it not to be a deal breaker...dealer says very expensive to install...Whats th real deal and should I bother?...or search for another car.

You can pick up a nice used one for about $1,000 (one on ebay now for 1,299:-). Easy install. If you want the nav unit too you're probably looking at another 7-800. Again a fairly easy job. There's an excellent write-up here on the forum.

I had contacted dealerships about this before and was told that the install would take about 3 hours in case you are not performing the install.

Tell them you will buy the PCM & Nav and they will pick up the install. If not tell them you will walk see what they say.
