Enabling all features on cdr24

I went to my local Dealer today..and asked if they could reprogram my headunit and enable rear speaker outputs as i have the standard base cdr24 settings.

They said it should be possible but qouted me £115 per hr labour rate. How long should this procedure actually take?

Are there any cheap alternatives to the PIWIS used by the dealers that i could buy to do this myself?

cheers in advance

I have an 07 Cayman. And my radio would not go any lower than 87.9(original factory setting). I wanted to catch 87.7 (local CBS broadcast) and my dealership reprogram it free of charge. I would think they would do this as a courtesy,

The trouble is mine is out of warranty and not bought from a dealership. One dealer, simply stated their hourly rate and told me to book it in.

Maybe if you take it in for some type of service they might just reset it for free. Negotiate with them. Its worth a try.
