Parrot Bluetooth - Microphone Acoustics
I have a Parrot CK3200 in my '07 CS. It works great with one exception. When I'm driving at highway speed, the voice recognition does not recognize my voice properly.
Setup:
The Parrot is hooked up to my Bose PCM with auto-mute working perfectly through the systems' center channel speaker on the dash. The microphone is clipped to the headliner at the top of the windshield, slightly left of the rearview mirror.
Everyone says that my voice sounds great no matter how fast I'm driving. Voice recognition works fine under 50mph with windows closed. It makes no difference whether I use the phone's voice recognition or the Parrot's. I have successfully updated the Parrot to the latest rev. via the bluetooth update utility loaded onto my laptop.
The only idea I had was to have someone else pilot the car on the freeway while I went through the voice recording setup. However, this may screw up recognition at slow speeds.
I guess my questions are:
1. Where is the best place to mount a bluetooth microphone in a Cayman ?
or
2. Is there a certain model or style of microphone that works best in a Cayman ?
Of course if there's something else I'm missing, please let me know.
