***Introducing the EVOMS Cayman RS350 Kit*** Picture intensive, but worth it!
3.4L Cayman S becomes the Cayman RS350
A Collaboration for a New Performance Upgrade Package
Evolution MotorSports has released a new performance pacakage that is delivering 350 horsepower versus the factory 295 horsepower on a conservative 11% drivetrain loss. This collaboration among the top Porsche tuners has brought this project to fruition and now this bulletproof package is available to the world!
The Cayman RS350 utilizing the Intelligent Tuning of EVOMSit with these performance upgrades delievers more usable power at the wheels and a closer connection between the car and the driver. To achieve maximum power the RS350 package includes full Stage 1 performance upgrades, EVOMS V-Flow Intake, a Competition Intake Plenum with a true 82mm 997 GT3 Throttle Body Conversion Kit from IPD, and an exhaust from Cargraphic.
Todd Zuccone, Founder of EVOMS says, “The Cayman is a great driving car, but with the added 45HP and 35TQ makes this daily driver feel much more like a track car while retaining its daily drivability. Our EVOMSit software gets the power more efficiently from the motor, effortlessly translating it to the wheels and completely transforming the driving experience of the car.”
Pricing on RS350 Components:
• Evolution Motorsports V-Flow: $349
• EVOMSit RS350 Software: $1000
• IPD Competition Plenum and 82mm 997 GT3 Throttle Body Conversion Kit: $1295
• Cargraphic Exhaust: $2200 for Straight Tips or $2300 for Rolled Tips with Perforated Inserts
Optional Extras:
• Cargraphic Headers and 200 Cell Catalysts: $4200
• ESR Underdrive Pulley: $199
• Sharkwerks Lightweight Flywheel*: $1100
*Unlike other software companies, EVOMSit software is compatible with the Sharkwerks Lightweight Flywheel kit so no idle die-down issues occur.
Dynos for the Stage 2 upgrades including the Cargraphic Headers and Catalysts and ESR Underdrive Pulley will be posted in the very near future, so keep an eye on the thread! For any further questions please do not hesitate to give me a call (480.317.9911) or email me at ian@evoms.com.

UPDATES:
To everyone who has been eagerly awaiting... I introduce to you the most powerful N/A Cayman...
We installed the headers, cats and the ESR underdrive pulley. The black line is the baseline with just mufflers. The blue line is the RS350 kit. The red line is the addition of headers, cats and ESR pulley. No software changes were made. With the adapting qualtities of the EVOMSit software in the RS350 flash we were able to make 18 more wheel horsepower and 13 more wheel torque. Remember... this was all done on 91oct. We ran out of time to do 93oct testing, so expect much more on 93oct.
We are now at 335whp and 281wtq.

Given the mods my CS got a few weeks ago (seen in my signature), is it possible to add this plenum and expect similar results?
If so, cut me a slice o that!!

Of course! You will need the RS350 software from us as well. The Competition Plenum will be available to ship in about two weeks.
Shoot me an email at ian@evoms.com and I will get you on the list for the first batch!!

How can I tell which software was installed. Danny at XX Tuning in East Hartford just did this a few weeks back. Is this different from what I just got?

Ian, Mike, Greg/Mike/Turbo Mike @RSS and of course Todd@EVO, I can't thank you guys enough. It's been a real, real pleasure as always working together on this. Seriously, the hours of street and dyno tuning/testing you guys did to make this such a fun car has us all grinning Really great numbers on a hot day (114?) with 91 and yet still more to come

Ian,
Can you elaborate on what this means:
"EVOMSit software is compatible with the Sharkwerks Lightweight Flywheel kit so no idle die-down issues occur."
I have the Sharkwerks Lightweight Flywheel kit and I am not experiencing any idling problems, can you tell me what it is you are describing or what the problem is?

Hey K-man S some of the "canned" software that's only tuned from a base cayman has had issues like that in the past on 996, 997s, Caymans and 996TT's but I think you have Softronic correct? Stock caymans have always been fine though.

I wanted to keep a professional tone while alleviating some customer's concerns with issues that have been experienced in conjunction with a specific software tuner. I chose to make a general statement instead of lowering myself to finger-pointing and name-calling!
Some customers were experiencing idle die-down. i.e. the engine dying from depressing the clutch pedal while coming to a stop. When the car would return to idle, it would dip too low in the RPM band and stall.
Thanks for asking the question, I should have elaborated more on that topic in the original post!

Hey Gmorat, extremely high. Software is already done for Cayman's with the intake and exhaust and the EVOMSit will be tuned for the regular version too.

350RS Cayman Package
Greetings Cayman Clubbers,
We share the mutual enthusiasm for this brand new RS350 Cayman Performance Package. The IPD Plenum and Cargraphic exhaust have always provided great performance gains without any software tuning. But as we all know, installing performance parts without tuning is like getting to third base with lingerie model, still a damn good time but there is definitely room for improvement. The full potential of performance parts can only truly be realized when combined with customized “intelligent” tuning. The EVOMSit RS350 is the first complete Cayman performance package that optimizes a specific intake, plenum, throttle body, exhaust, flywheel, UD Pulley and software as one complete engineered group. The RS350 package raises the bar and elevates the Cayman to a whole new dimension. We’re very proud to be associated with such a great project and look forward to future endeavors with Evolution and Shark Werks.
Cheers,
Greg

I own an 07 2.7.
It would probably make more sense to trade up to an 09 S than spend the bucks on this kit.
However, will it work on the 2.7 Cayman and what gains could I expect?

Alex-
Please PM me with an RS350 package price including installation, time needed in the shop, etc.
I have been waiting for a package like this. Based upon my brother's EVOMS/ Sharkwerks experience I am comfortable with you guys and really no one else. Sorry everybody else...LOL.
This package. along with my LSD, gets me where I want to be in my quest to create that mythical beast known as the Cayman GT...the car Porsche won't sell.
Can I expect the end result to be CEL free under normal driving conditions?
How would you characterize the Cargraphic exhaust compared to Remus and others?
Thanks,
Dave

LSD - Limited Slip Differential
|
 |
A limited slip differential (LSD) is a modified or derived type of differential gear arrangement that allows for some difference in rotational velocity of the output shafts, but does not allow the difference in speed to increase beyond a preset amount. In an automobile, such limited slip differentials are sometimes used in place of a standard differential, where they convey certain dynamic advantages, at the expense of greater complexity.
The main advantage of a limited slip differential is found by considering the case of a standard (or "open") differential where one wheel has no contact with the ground at all. In such a case, the contacting wheel will remain stationary, and the non-contacting wheel will rotate freely– the torque transmitted will be equal at both wheels, but will not exceed the threshold of torque needed to move the vehicle, thus the vehicle will remain stationary. In everyday use on typical roads, such a situation is very unlikely, and so a normal differential suffices. For more demanding use however, such as driving off-road, or for high performance vehicles, such a state of affairs is undesirable, and the LSD can be employed to deal with it. By limiting the velocity difference between a pair of driven wheels, useful torque can be transmitted as long as there is some friction available on at least one of the wheels.

Hi JDHC7, the parts do work on the 2.7 motor and fit but the tuning would be different obviously.
