V2 front end on V1 chassis

Anyone know if you can fit a Version 2 (2010) front bumper and lights on a Version 1 (2006) Chassis?. Or rather how difficult it would be? And a ballpark cost? I am looking to change out a front bumper kit to this or a some other aftermarket kit. Also, what the cost is for a stock replacement bumper on a 2006? Thanks

FWIW... i think the front end on a .1 is a better look... if you are going to invest that kind of cash i would recommend doing something along the lines of what harajuka did.

I prefer gen1 styling too. If I ever bought a gen2 I would be thinking about putting gen1 stuff on IT, not the reverse.

Re: V2 front end on V1 chassis

Sorry, but do I like the new headlights and front faring. The car i am looking at has Techart front which I do not like....so I would want to change it. Was just looking at Rinspeed body work and it looks pretty nice. I would not be adverse to going back to original and adding a nice spoiler lip...I prefer the RS look headlights on the Cayman...don't want the 911 look....I love the new GT2 front but don't know of one that would fit Cayman lights. As you may notice I am thinking of switching from 2010 to 2006 project car. TPC has messed with my head

New front bumper
New left and right fenders
New headlight units
New shrouds
New fog lights, parking lights, signal lights
Associated wiring and circuitry for LED

I'd say you are at least $6K, maybe even $8-10K for such a project. It would be more cost effective to go with an aftermarket bumper of some sort.
