Re: durametric, where to buy?

Why not buy from directly from Durametric?

Each enthusiast kit only allow for three VINs, so it is unlikely that anyone will lend you their kit (maybe I a wrong). I have a unit, and really like to to help people, and I would not do it.

The unit is really not that expensive and provides great value (just checking overrevs is worth it), so my suggestion is to just buy a new one.

It must be a rounding error on the cost of a new Turbo kit.

Also, if you are doing logging for TPC I suggest you hit them up for the cost.

Cheers,

Re: durametric, where to buy?

I'm not sure why you wouldn't want to buy it directly from Durametric either.

I have seen it advertised on FVD/Brombacher's website, and you can also get a Durametric-capable cable from Softronic (Scott Slauson) in conjunction with one of his packages (I don't know if he sells it separately however).

Re: durametric, where to buy?

i guess there are some misunderstanding, so let me clarify.

1. i wasn't aware that each kit only allows 3 VINs. if that's true, then i definitely don't have a problem purchasing the kit myself.

2. i know lots of people got the durametric kit when they purchased the softronic software, many of which are not being used, or the cars have been sold. I figure why buy another kit, when I can help another member put theirs to good use and get some $ out of it.

if anyone out there purchased the softronic package and is not planning to use their durametric kit, please contact me in private. if I don't hear from anyone in the next day or two, I will order directly with durametric.

hope that clarifies things.

Kevin,

Yes, this helps. From your original post, and your similar thread, it appeared that you were looking to borrow someone elses kit as a means to "get around" buying a kit from Durametric.

Certainly buying an unused kit from another member is a good idea, especially if the car is sold.

Good luck with the Turbo. We hope to see it at a POC event soon.

Cheers,
