Hey folks, for those of you with Boxsters/Caymans TechArt is now releasing their LED day-time running light kit which comes with their Type II/GT front bumper kits as shown below:

For those of you that haven't seen them in action before here's a video of them on a 997TT we built with the TechArt Type II kit.

That front bumper is currently $4,650 including the LED/DRLs.

There's a choice of black or chrome LED housings.

It will fit all the Boxster and Cayman models from 2005 on.
It can be purchased alone or as part of the AeroKit II "GTsport" or Widebody kits.

So are you saying that they are selling the LED kit WITHOUT the bumper now? If so, post pics of this installed without the bumper. Or are you just saying that we can get a techart bumper with LEDs? If so that seems like old news?

Hi Kor sorry if it wasn't clear but basically you can buy them as a "seperate" unit but if you but the new front bumper kit it they come _with_ it at no extra cost

Those look interesting - wouldn't mind seeing some more pics w/out the bodykit. (saw one on the sharkwerks website of a white one I believe, but was just a front-shot).

Any ideas on the pricing?

If they sold this separately, how to mount them on a stock car would be an adventure since they look huge ala gt2. If you have the type 2 body already, you'd still have to make mods (right) to get them on since the initial lamps on the kit are 2 small circles

That's really nice. Much better than the Gen1 TechArt bumper IMO! I dont think you can fit that into Gen1 Cayman

The price is $1599 for the DRL kit by itself.

The TechArt Cayman front bumper includes the DRL and costs $4,650.

I know after the last post, a few people emailed me asking if they would fit the stock bumper cover (which they would not). But TechArt some photos today that I thought you may want to see.

Edit - This is a different LED DRL system that fits the OEM 987 front bumper. Unfortunately it will not fit Cayman bmpers at this time, only Boxster.

Hopefully we'll have some more pictures soon or even a video showing it in action.

Hi Rubber_ducky,
I wanted to confirm again with TechArt and as it turns out, the kit will not fit the Cayman with OEM front bumper at this time: only the 987 Boxster due to the differences with fog lights, etc. Perhaps a kit is in the works but it's not available yet.
