just thought id share pics of my custom exhaust ive had made.
my friend makes custom exhausts for racing cars/bikes/quads etc and he really wanted to make one up for me.
its cat back and eliminating the last cats
it has straight through seperate baffles (not linked)
we mainly worked for noise by changing lengh and size of baffles and whatever power was a bonus
the hardest part was eliminating as much of the drone as possible but with a complete straight through cat back system this was difficult!
we managed to eliminate all drone apart from some between 2400 and about 2600rpm but its no worse than the free exhaust mod (very small gap in link pipe)
the sound is amazing now - proper porshe burble at low revs changing from about 4000rpm up to a screaming exotic sound very ferrari like all the way to the red line then lifting off gives a few pops and burbles.
i would imagine this isn't to everyones taste as it is loud when on full throttle but when driving normally there seems hardly any extra cabin noise
i went for 2 x 3.5" slashcut rolled tips completely flush with the back bumper.
i will post up the dyno graph in the dyno charts section but it made 8hp and 9ft/lb torque improvement but sounds and feels so much better and seems to pull allot stronger.
