Help - PSE Removal

Hi Folks,

I need to remove my PSE and re-install the factory exhaust. Can anyone shed some light on what is required in terms of reversing the solenoid piping etc.

My Car has Sports Chrono so I only need to remove the piping to the solenoid as far as I am aware. I may also need to reconfigure the DME.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Cheers

CJP

Re: Help - PSE Removal

So I've had a look under the engine cover and I can see the solenoid mounted next to the plenum. The vacuum line seems to be taking a feed from the resonance flap solenoid pipe.

There is also an electrical connection which actuates the solenoid, but I do not know where this leads. Any ideas?

Re: Help - PSE Removal

I believe there's a PSE installation article, you could try working backwards from that. Why are you going back to the stock muffler? Is PSE-on too loud for your track?

Re: Help - PSE Removal

Fitted the PSE to my Cayman last night but did not connect the vacuum line or solenoid from the resonance flap pipe.

To my shock, it appears the valves are open by default and are actuated to close the exhaust. The good news is that if you want your exhaust loud all of the time and are fitting the PSE for the first time then you do not need to connect the solenoid/piping etc.
