Re: How to ruin a Cayman
Oh dear GOD!! Who would even think to malign a Cayman with that ****? That's the same kind of sadistic creativity used by infamous serial killers.
HAHA, love the comment about pulling it "out of the crapper"! For sure...
Why not just start gluing random wings from Testor's model airplane kits on the car, they'd look better than that.

I remember seeing that awful project at Sema, however it is not a Cayman but an old 911 for which the 'designer was very proud of it...!
Many of the car panels were made of silver/gray painted styrofoam, poor car it was like a bad dream

Looks like something GM would roll out at an auto show.

Re: How to ruin a Cayman
I heard that this body kit has "more to it than meets the eye". Inside sources claim it allows the CS to transform into a talking robot.
I'm glad that the article claims

Thankfully, it doesn’t look like any actual Cayman’s were harmed in the making of this kitted up show car

Re: How to ruin a Cayman
What a waste.......looks like something you would see in a border town south of here. All it's missing is a butt trumpet exhaust system and some neon lights under the car.

Here is the nut who did this to our beloved Cayman. http://www.phatazbodyz.co.nz/ also I love the last quote. "We are confident that on judgement by his peers this vehicle will be very highly rated. "

Re: How to ruin a Cayman
...with 1.21 gigawatts, it might keep up with a base Cayman, through 2nd gear! I think he should stick to building coaches.....his "old school methods" don't really do anything for me....

Re: How to ruin a Cayman
Phataz Bodyz, Christchurch, New Zealand
is the page you should look at. Near the bottom, it reveals that the work you see is derived from a 911 and not a Cayman.
This guy has done some serious restoration work. And is rather good at what he does. And what he hasn't done is hack up a Cayman.

Re: How to ruin a Cayman
hmmm, interesting....... I still don't like it, regardless of what model it is. As for the repair on the 911, I'm surprised insurance didn't total it out. I know of an older Carrera involved in a rollover that was repaired here in SA. I see it every now and then, looks good cosmetically, but when seen from the rear driving down the road, it appears that the car "crabs" to the right....suspect a bent frame. Wouldn't be surprised if it has a salvage title.....

Re: How to ruin a Cayman
I wonder if the body parts will fly off at high speeds.
