Re: Winter in Sweden
Yes I have read the Cayman is a very good wintercar thanks to its superb handling, but the problem is actually not the snow or that the car gets dirty.
It is that the road maintenance where they sometimes put salt and sometimes put salt mixed with gravel (all depending on the temparuture)
I have replaced three or four front windows on my Audis (Me and my Wife have one each), when the car in front sends some small "rocks" on my car front or when a stud come of its tire (most have studs in their tire so it will work on icy roads), and sometimes when you meet another car and it is driving to close you can hear a loud splash in side of the car, and thats not just snow and water.
So it is actually to preserve the car that I keep it in the garage in the winter time, and i am actually thinking of get some new paint on my older (2003) Quattro för the hood and front.
So I usely wait until 1 of May to get it out on the road, because then the roads have been cleaned and no more cars is running with studs in the tires (some people doesnt change to summer tires in time)
I think that in the northen part of Sweden, there its more snow and less gravel on the roads.
