California Color

My wife and I went for a nice Sunday drive up into the Sierra Nevada foothills today. Spring has definitely sprung. The hills are abloom with wild flowers and the twisty roads are always a blast to drive. We took a few photos. Enjoy!

Re: California Color

Very nice. It is always nice to see the Cayman in different locations. Especially when it is the "right" color...thanks for sharing.

This is a small country road east of Fresno called Watts Valley Road. You take
Ashlan Ave. heading east of Fresno until it hits the foot hills and turns into Watts Valley. It will take you to the back side of Pine Flat Lake. Then you follow the lake back around to Belmont Ave. that will take you back into Fresno. I think it is probably about a 50 to 60 mile drive. The hills should keep their color for another month or so as long as it doesn't start getting to hot. In another couple of months all the green will be gone and the hills with be totally brown. The Sierra's have countless twisty roads that are so fun to drive. This is definitely the best time of the year to take a run up to the Sierra's. The scenery is beautiful.
