I wonder why the 370Z isn't called the Fairlady Z in the US?

At the introduction of the 240Z, Mr. Katayama (or "Mr.K" Pres of Nissan USA at the time) had them remove the Fairlady emblems for the sportier "240Z" emblems. He did not believe the "Fairlady" name provided the proper image to be portrayed for the US market.

I guess Nissan has stayed with his original philosophy.

Maybe because it sounds more like a feminine hygiene product, or a fairy tale. Another example is how Sato motorcycle exhausts are branded Babyface in JDM.

i just realized the numbers at the end of the vid indicate the CS got 3rd...
