Track Day

When my son bought his new CS he was registered for a Porsche Tack Day.
Here are some pic's; he said its the most fun you can have with cloths on.

Pic 1 is the new GT2 and is one of 9 presently in the US, a mere 205K.
Pic 2 are the cars lined up waiting for some track time.
Pic 3 is a twin turbo CS that ran with the GT3's and in one case outran it.
Pic 4 is my sons CS taking a breather.
Enjoy!

Re: Track Day

That's quite a line-up in pic#2. What track was that?

I have seen more than 10 GT2's in Beverly Hills alone. You ight want to check your facts.

Did not know there was a twin turbo kit for the Cayman S. I thought the company making them went bankrupt.

These pictures were just forwarded to me with with the information given to my son at the event. We really would have no reason to question the information given or have reason to hire a private investigator to verify the facts jacka$$; they were submitted to share a Porsche sponsored event with Porsche enthusiasts.

The name of the place was the Autobahn Country Club (Joulette, Illionis) a private club that you have to be a member to use, the dealership has a membership there. My son said it was a great place and the members shared many interesting race stories.

Re: Track Day

Nice cars. Thanks for sharing.

I saw two 997 model GT2s at Lime Rock yesterday. I don't care how many are available in the US. It is my favorite porsche.

BTW. Let's not let the impersonal character of these forums cause us to be hostile with each other.

Zedd +1 on that and forgive me for letting my emotions get the best of me. When I purchased my first BMW I joined a forum, I think it was on Roadfly, where many of the members were actually quite mean/hostile to new owners/members who would ask basic questions that admittedly could have been easily looked up in the owners manual. There is no place for that in my opinion. One of the things that I most cherish about this brotherhood is the sincere love for the brand and willingness to share knowledge with anyone who is willing to listen. There are many instances where new member ask questions that could easily be answered by doing a basic search or reading the manual but members patiently answer their questions and instruct them in how to do a search; that is called class and I applaud that.
Please enjoy the pictures and forgive me for posting a fact that I did not investigate to the fullest.
By the way the dealer is going to do a (I think) Revo flash on his ECU this week. Has anyone any experience with this company or do all Porsche dealers have the ability to do this? Again I am not sure about the name but I know the dealer is doing the flash. Thanks in advance for you help.

200 997 GT2s are slated for the US. They are exceedingly rare cars. Maybe the guy at the track had one of the "first 9".

Who cares?

I think it is great that you have 10 of them and that you live in Beverly Hills (a crime infested dump) and that you date Lindsay Lohan (a skank). But give the OP a break.

"L.A." does that to people. ****s up their priorities.
