Pillar rattle is hurting my feelings...

So I've located the rattle! Please see the picture with the arrow. If I apply slight pressure to that point, it stops. There's a clip or something in the pillar that's rattling against the pillar.

Is there a way to remove the trim and get in there? A small piece of foam should do the trick. Or, is this something more suited for the dealer?

I'd rather do it myself and save the trip if possible.

Thanks in advance for the help!Pillar rattle is hurting my feelings...-rattle.jpg

Re: Pillar rattle is hurting my feelings...

Read through these for ideas http://www.planetporsche.net/cayman-...lp-rattle.html and this (with links to more threads) http://www.planetporsche.net/cayman-...b-pillars.html and http://www.planetporsche.net/cayman-...ow-rattle.html

Perhaps there is something in those that will help.

Re: Pillar rattle is hurting my feelings...

Thanks - my search wasn't as good as yours! I took the seatbelt cover off, tightened everything slightly (already pretty tight) and reinstalled. A short drive yielded no rattle (there at least), but we'll see if it comes back. It seemed like the rattle was coming from inside the pillar, which I don't think can be removed.

Anyway, thanks!
