Windsheild

Has anyone experianced a failure/deformation of the film in between the two glass laminates on the windsheild. I thought it was just me but at a DE a while back my instructor asked if I had a tear off winshoield film on the car. At certain angles, most noticable on overcast days, there are areas of my windhield that are wavy to look through. It appears that the laminate film is defective.

Re: Windsheild

I have noticed a wave on the right side of my 06 Boxster S. Never noticed it on my 05. The wave bothers me though, it will draw my eyes in when checking traffic.

Re: Windsheild

Both my old Boxster and my 07 Cayman have a slight ripple on the right side of the windshield close to the bottom of it. It is not very bad but it is there!

Re: Windsheild

My windshield defracted so badly that it was replaced by the dealer. I also had this happen on a Honda van and that windshield was replaced by that dealer. I think this is a problem that follows me around. I am beginning to wonder if my cleaning technique of using sandpaper may not be a problem...
