Transmission Cable Issue at Lime Rock Apr'09

I had an issue with my transmission popping back into Neutral from Third gear. After two runs and nearly taking out a couple of cars as my car slowed during turns while rolling, I decided to head back home until I sought the advice of Will Giovanni (sp?) who said there shouldn't be a syncro issue with a 2007 and that likely it was my Trans cable. I stayed on for the 2 day event, running around in just 1 gear most of the time and still had fun.

Returned the car to Paul Miller (Parsippany NJ) who confirmed it was the Transmission cable which they fixed under warranty. No issues for them as regards drivers who take Porsches out on DEs.

Just curious if anyone else on this board experienced the same issue.

Glad to hear your problem was only the cable. I had a cable issue as well loosing 1st 2nd & reverse at Pocono earlier this year. It turned out to be the cable popping out of the tranny bracket & we fixed it at the track.

Damn, that is pretty scary to have happen on the track! Was this during the NNJR event that we came up for or the one this past weekend with CVR?

Yup. Other guys were pissed about my situation especially one hairy incident with me crawling up in the Uphill section where I safely stayed right but prayed as cars flew by my left ! Whew!
