I have reported here previously the little bump in my steering column as well an issue with the revs while idling. I also had a pre-warranty run-out inspection and she got a clean bill of health two weeks ago. However, these issues have continued and I scheduled another appointment with the dealer. Two days after the warranty ran out, I dropped it off at the dealer and they acknowledged the bump in the steering.
After inspection, they told me that they could not produce the rev issue but were going to replace the steering rack and a couple of sensors related to the steering. Fortunately, Porsche agreed to cover it under warranty for which I am very very grateful.
A week and a half later they finally called me today and said the car was repaired and they would deliver the car to me and take away my loaner. (The dealer is 90 miles away) A half hour later they called back and told me that they rev issue happened with them and they wanted to keep the car to figure it out.
Don't get me wrong, my complaint is not with the dealer. They are a Premier Porsche dealer on the Florida east central coast. I am 15 minutes away from the local dealer but the coast dealer has treated me very well and I trust them.
My complaint is that I miss my Boxster

. It is my daily driver and I miss her. I am having withdrawals. It sucks, but I am so glad that the dealer is taking care of me.
Just thought I would share. Thanks for listening.
