Unhappy boxster engine squeal

i have a boxster 2.7 tiptronic s on a 99 plate and it has just developed the most annoying squeal, after around five minutes of driving a high pitched squeal develops from the engine that sounds like a belt.it has 62 k on the clock and has just been recently serviced at an approved dealer.he said it may be a clutch bearing?sounds strange as its tiptronic.the noise does not happen all the time and will some times go away when revved hard.it can also drive fine for a few days the it starts whining.it sounds very similar to the cayman problem with the oil seperator.
does anyone have any ideas as i do not think t is a transmission problem as it would occur all the time in my opinion.http://www.planetporsche.net/images/smilies/help.gif
