What a Piece of Junk!

Recognize that line? It was in reference to the item below. Everyone kept asking me what I got for my birthday, which Cayman part, did I get a TPC Turbo, etc. etc. well here is what I did get, something the kids seem to be enthralled with. It is the new large size replica Millenium Falcon. It is pretty cool, good detail, large scale size, plenty of little operating items but perhaps coolest of all are the digitized sayings from Star Wars when you press various buttons or operate various items. For example swing the lightsaber training ball and you'll hear Obi Wan say "See, you can do it", press another button and Han Solo exclaims "Go strap yourselves in I'm going to make the jump to lightspeed", even a lighted table dejarik table with figures for R2-D2 and Chewbacca to play at. Anyway, enjoy the pics and may the Force be with you this holiday season...

Re: What a Piece of Junk!

That is cool! I wish my son and I had saved the old Millinium Falcon that came out in the 80's. The new one looks a bit larger...gratz!

Cool Re: What a Piece of Junk!

Does it have this line (one of my favorites):

"Traveling through hyperspace ain't like dusting crops, boy!" ?

Happy Holidays!

You know I don't think it does, but will have to check them all to be sure.

I still have the 80's version Millenium Falcon in the attic somewhere...

Re: What a Piece of Junk!

Ken,

Did you ever think about buying a Legos Ultimate Collection Millenium Falcon? I'm going to get one. It's a little over 5000 pieces, and I think you'd love it. Looks like from one of the pix that your kids might be a tad young for this Legos set, so it would be all yours!!

Re: What a Piece of Junk!

Here you go: Ultimate Collector's Millennium Falconâ„¢ | Star Warsâ„¢ Classic | LEGO Shop

There's also a relatively new death star in the ultimate collector series. I also have the star destroyer, x-wing and tie fighter. Aren't they fun? The size and detail is really impressive. Though I admit, I get alot of grief from my friends about having Legos at my age.

Happy holidays!

Re: What a Piece of Junk!

BTW, Ken, the Death Star ultimate collector is on sale on the Lego web site: Death Star IIâ„¢ | Hard to Find Items | LEGO Shop

You should get it. I'm going to order it for my own "Christmas" present.

Cheers!

Looks very nice. A star destroyer with the same scale would be quite nice too

The star destroyer is pretty impressive. It's 3 feet long. A 3 feet Lego creation! Neat, huh?

Re: What a Piece of Junk!

Stop that! Tempting to say the least, but no extra $$$ right now for any such items I'm afraid.
