Asheville, NC restaurant recommendations?

I will be driving into Asheville tomorrow to visit the Biltmore Estate and was curious if anyone had some restaurant recommendations for a place to eat lunch. Our tour of the house starts at 2:30PM. Thanks!

Re: Asheville, NC restaurant recommendations?

Oh yes...I can make recommendations. I cannot, however, guarantee that they will be open for business on New Years Day.

First, in relation to the Biltmore Estate, you MUST visit REZAZ.

It is just across the street from the entrance to the Biltmore Estate. The price is medium to high for dinner. But on one side of the restaurant, is more for lunch. This is known as ENOTECA. It has more fare such as sandwiches, which you might want just before your tour. If you want to eat after the tour..then visit the main restaurant.

You will see McDonalds across the street from the Biltmore Estate entrance. Look just a little further and you will see a red canvas awning at an old brick building. Thats Rezaz. Enjoy the design and layout....it is by yours truly.

In no particular order:

1. Cucina24 . 24 Wall Street downtown. I love this brand new italian restaurant. You can make reservations online. The price is medium to high for dinner.

2. Limones. Gourmet Mexican.....I love this place. It is downtown. The price is medium to high for dinner.

3. The Table. Also downtown. I like this place but do not eat there often. The price is medium to high for dinner.

Medium priced:

1. Honey Tupelo. Great place. Can be a wait.

2. Carmels. Nice....good lunch menu but I wish they had more to choose from....great gourmet pizzas.

3. Modesto

4. La Paz near Biltmore Estate. I love this place for medium price Mexican food, while not representing the typical cheap Mexican food.

Call me if you get lost. Will send you my cell in PM. I live about 5 mins from entrance to Biltmore Estate.
