Vendee Globe Ocean Race

Don't know if there are many sailing lovers out there, but as a landlocked person (well, I grew up on the Great Lakes) sailboats have always attracted me. Click on this link and at the right is a link to a short video of an Ocean 60 racing boat in action. Absolutely beautiful - and the speed is amazing. Note that you can full screen the video.

Re: Vendee Globe Ocean Race

The idea of sailing has always attracted me.

The reality makes me vomit, unfortunately.

It's hard to enjoy the joy of dancing with the wind when the wind is blowing chunks of undigested food back in your face.

If it were not for that, I would be a pirate. That is what i have always wanted to be. A pirate or a viking. Or a viking pirate. Maybe King of the Viking pirates. I will stay in the castle next to the water but never actually go out on a ship. My men can take videos of their adventures and put them up on Youtube and just bring me back the loot and the slave women.

Curse ye sea-sickness, curse ye!

Arrrr, ya ever been to sea, Davey?

So, I take it there will be no solo circumnavigations for you then. (Ahhh, leave that one alone Dave).

Start that pirate club and we'll find a scabbard o' men to join. We's can pick from the cream of the Cayman Club! And the gators can have the rest fer supper.

Oders than that, hope everyting is well with ya an' the missus.

Anchors Away,
gtsblackbeard
