Re: Rush anyone?

My 14 year old son is a huge Rush fan (forever arguing that Neil Peart is the greatest rock drummer in the world) so I'll have to send him the link. Thanks!

Smart kid. But to say that Neil is just a drummer is selling him a little short. I believe he is the writer of all of their songs, past their second album that is. Very talented guy. In fact, they all are very talented.

What about the little boy. Talk about a complete drum set. He had to sell a lot of lemonade to acquire those. But given the type of music he is playing. It was probably a Red Bull stand not lemonade.

Re: Rush anyone?

Niel wrote some interesting books too. They are about his travels on a BMW bike through the Americas and another book is about his travels through Africa. Interesting guy. I am a Jazz drummer myself and I was always a fan of his skill.

Re: Rush anyone?

+1 for Rush

From one of my favorites:

What you own is your own kingdom
What you do is your own glory
What you love is your own power
What you live is your own story
In your head is the answer
Let it guide you along
Let your heart be the anchor
And the beat of your own song

Then there is this update of a classic:
(forgive me)

I strip away the old debris, that hides a shining car
A brilliant yellow Cayman, from a better, vanished time
I fire up the willing engine, responding with a roar
Tires spitting gravel, I commit my weekly crime...

Maybe Geddy would have an easier time with the pronunciation of "Cayman" than he did with "Barchetta".
