The Credit Crisis Visualized in Animated Infographics

The Credit Crisis Visualized in Animated Infographics

I think we all have loved ones who have not been able to quite grasp the basic credit crisis problem that is now collapsing the World's economies. Here is an excellent tool that explains all in an easy to understand, animated format.

I believe the animation also correctly characterizes the greed that drove the process at the beginning. Where does it stop.....nobody knows.

Nice bed time story.

Unfortunately it leaves out the part that adults need to understand. There are some people who think that everyone should be able to "own a home". Even people who can't afford the payments. These people vote for people to represent them in the government. These government officials encouraged Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac (surprisingly not mentioned in the cartoon) to in essence "guarantee" that the government would stand behind the increasingly ridiculous "sub prime" mortgages. This was to make housing "affordable". Once those people who should never have been home owners in the first place moved in, the government stepped in and said,"It would be mean to make them leave. Let's take money from the folks who are responsible and give it to the people who are not responsible. That will be "fair" and the people we give the money to will vote for us forever."

Instead of a cartoon, let's look at the real people and hear what they have to say:

LOL..

I posted the animation link in an effort to help,.. NOT to provide a cue for the FOX News fanatical to jump on their silly soap boxes, and spew out their usual hateful fantasy rhetoric.

* Maybe a moderator will close the thread?

You posted a politically slanted re-write of history.

Ignoring such an integral part of the financial mess is an intentional oversight.

Simply using the words "FOX News...fanatical...hateful...fantasy...rhetoric... " might pass for intelligent conversation in your circles, but it does nothing to address the government's role in this mess, and it doesn't explain the "lies of omission" in the cartoon.

What part is inaccurate in my representation?

Your answer...."Close the thread". LOL.

Yep, while I think the animation is helpful to those who need a basic understanding of what has happened, once this thread starts moving towards blame, and becomes politically charged, it needs to be closed as it violates our no politics rule.
