I just measured the oval bump on my factory jack with a digital caliper (a ruler would work, but is less exact) and then traced out the shape on a piece of aluminum I got at my local hardware store. I used a hacksaw to roughly cut out the newly traced pieces and then used a sander to sand them down to the appropriate contour. The aluminum piece I used was 24" long, 1.5" wide, and 1/8" thick. I used two 1/8" pieces stacked together for each "bump" on the jack stands.
