Some of them are a bit generic. When I search AutoAnything for my specific model one of the categories that show up is runner boards and nerf bars. Just a bit odd though I'm sure it would make for a unique look.

I concur and all sponsors here were sent that info but I don't know whether they followed up or not and if so what the rsults were.

Re: Carbon Fiber Club Launched!
Just signed up and have not even made up my mind on the Porsche purchase yet. The new turbo kit has me looking at an 06-07 CS M6 that I can turbo right away or a new 09 with PDK. Either way I joined up and I am hoping to see a few more of the sponsors in the garage.
Edit: How long after using option 1 till we get added to the Insiders Group? Thx

Re: Carbon Fiber Club Launched!
Please note that the new sign-up link now provides our members with a discounted code to get 3 months of the Carbon Fiber Club for FREE at sign-up. Although the combo Insiders/CFC package has gone away, now members can get the following:
1) A money back guarantee, if you don't use the card you get your membership price back
2) 3 Months FREE!
Additionally the Carbon Fiber Club has opened up their site more for potential members to look around and get a sense of what sort of items Members have access to. We hope you enjoy this opportunity!

Re: Carbon Fiber Club Launched!
Ken,
I signed up for the CFC and Insiders combo quite a bit more than a month ago and have yet to get my card - though I did get the email with my member number.
Does this sound right to you, or should I contact CFC about the card?
Further, is there any chance the benfits you mention above are retro-active?
Thanks!
Mike

An excellent question and something that CFC will actually be sending a notification out about this week, but since you asked, I'll go ahead and answer. Anyone who had already signed up and not received their card is going to have their membership automatically extended until the end of 2010 free of charge. Evidently their car supplier ran into a snafu and the cards themselves have been delayed for a couple of more weeks.
I'd say if you don't see an email within a week then contact CFC but you should be seeing that email this week about what I just mentioned above.

Re: Carbon Fiber Club Launched!
Ask K-Man-S and you shall receive!
I just got an email from the CFC stating my membership card should arrive the first week in January, and my membership would be extended through the end of 2010.
So there you have it...

Re: Carbon Fiber Club Launched!
True, same here. Plus it looks like they're offering a complimentery deal of some sort to folks.
We'll see how they do with the additional sponsor that was mentioned.

Re: Carbon Fiber Club Launched!
Ken, I signed up thru the planet-9 link a couple of weeks ago. When can I expect to receive Insider status here?

Re: Carbon Fiber Club Launched!
It appears the Carbon Fiber Club launched in Nov '09 with a $49 annual membership fee, then in Dec '09 offered three free months with the $49 annual fee, and now in Jan '10 offers free general membership with a $49 annual fee for upgraded Pole Position membership. If correct, that seems like a weirdly evolving business plan. At least you can see what they offer, to determine whether it's worth it. Dave

Yeah I think they are still working out some kinks, but you are correct, our members can now go get a membership there for FREE, simply follow this link:
The Carbon Fiber Club
For those who spent the $49 previously for a membership they will either get a pole position membership now which allows them to get bigger/better deals, or they can get their $49 back and just have a base membership which is free.
Keep in mind that I personally subsidized all of the combo Insider/CFC memberships in November and some in December as well so I don't know what will happen in that regard if one of you that I subsidized decides they just want the free membership instead of the pole position then I "should" get a refund of that subsidy,or at least I would hope that I would.

Ken,
Welcome to the world of business. I could retire tomorrow if I was refunded all the water heaters, disposals, toilets not to mention labor costs I had to subsidize over the years.

Ken,
I don't want a refund, I want to wait and see how it pans out. I had no idea of your subsidy program, I hope other members keep it in mind if they decide to convert to the free membership.
