Nissan - Infiniti take shots at Porsche again!

This time with the Panamera:

The fastest accelerating full hybrid on the planet has arrived! In a teaser released last week, the 2012 Infiniti M Hybrid races against the 2012 Porsche Panamera S Hybrid to prove which can proudly claim the title, “World’s Fastest Full Hybrid.”

The results of ‘The Duel’ are now in! See it for yourself, here: World's Fastest Full Hybrid - YouTube

Inspiration for the video originated when the Infiniti M Hybrid made it into the Guinness World Records® as the world’s fastest accelerating full-hybrid car last fall, when the 360-horsepower gas/electric luxury performance sedan covered the standing quarter mile in 13.9031 seconds!

Something I received from a PR person at Infiniti... amusing stuff eh?

It hurts... but I'm happy to see Porsche continuously being "humiliated" with their outdated crappy acceleration figures. Anybody saw the acceleration figures of Nissan's Juke-R? 0-60 in 3.7 seconds!!!

While that's not a street legal buy it in your dealership car, it still looks like an interesting project and something that got me to thinking when was the last time we saw a project "exercise" like this come out of Porsche? It's been awhile hasn't it??

Yeah, this comes out a week before I take delivery of my Panamera S Hybrid - not that I'm really upset. Most of us would be driving different cars, if all we cared about was acceleration.

This is right after Hyundia took a shot at the Panamera -

I guess when you have "Porsche" on your trunk you are a big target for all the newcomers to try to take down.
