Re: Press Release: Einszett Plastic Deep Cleaner-Side of Seats cracking Cayman S?

Thanks for the product info. I'll give it a try. Question?

Have you had a problem with the sides of your seats in your Cayman S cracking around the metal that is on the inside? Mine began showing signs around 3K miles on the drivers seat, and Porsche put a new "skin" on my seat but in doing so the Porsche dealer's engineer stretched it too tight and caused the same problem, but worse! I'm waiting on Porsche to get back with my dealer this week for a "fix" because they are aware they have a problem.

How are your seats? I rarely drive my car, usually without a passenger. Recently while in for service (on the passenger side mirror), the service person created "wear" on my passenger seat simply by sitting in the seat while working on the mirror. I flipped out when I picked up my car! No one other person sat in that seat for any length of time and now it too has at least six inch stress, wear marks running down the side of the seat. My car
was in better shape before I took it in for service.

My Cayman is detailed at least every other week, top to bottom, inside and out. As I live in Florida we get rain showers frequently which will make a mess of a clean car she really gets cleaned every week. I keep her in a garage and she has about 7K city miles on her now. I keep my cars in excellent condition, but these seats have a problem. Have you noticed it or heard about it yet as I'm new to the forum? Any information would be very useful as I have Porsche's ear and can use the information for everyone's benefit. Porsche NEEDS to come up with a fix for this problem or everyone will be buying new seats in two or three years.

Re: Press Release: Einszett Plastic Deep Cleaner

do you have a picture of the seats.

I have a 996tt and I don't see the same problem you are having.
