Leather smell

I am not sure if I am just getting used to the leather smell that Idon't smell it strong as before, or is the leather smell fading over time. My interior is mashallah in perfect condition except that I don't smell the leather as strong as it was before.

Any advice to maintain the leather smell of the interior?

Re: Leather smell

There are several existing threads on leather care and leather care products. Check them out and you will find some very good advice. You do need to not ignore the leather care.

Re: Leather smell

Almost all leather care products when used as directed not only keep the leather conditioned but restore the "smell". I condition mine every three months because of the low humidity here. I would recommend trying a few of the popular brands to find the one you prefer.

A couple of good links to read;
http://www.planetporsche.net/porsche...endations.html
http://www.leatherz.com/leathercare2.htm

Do keep the leather in good condition. Not just for the smell.

Re: Leather smell

Thank you very much "Santa Fe" for your recommendations. I just placed an order for two Spinneybeck Leather Maintenance Kits. After reviewing your previous comments on other threads, I found that we both agree on disliking the artificial scents and glossy leather look. Therefore, I didn't hesitate in placing the order online.

Thank you again.

Re: Leather smell

The leather on the standard seats is coated, and using leather conditioner is probably not a good idea. It'll just sit on the surface attracting grime. Standard cleaning for them would just be a very mild soapy water. You can read other sites like autopia for more information about cleaning coated leather.

Re: Leather smell

Unfortunately my mail forwarding company could not ship me the Spinneybeck Leather Maintenance Kits from NY to KSA as they are not allowed to ship liquids to KSA !!!

My brother's GT2 in TX got to enjoy it in the end while my "mistress" were denied here skin-care product

I'll check Zanio and see if they ship to KSA, thank you Saucerman for the suggestion.
