'07 PORSCHE CAYMAN S

scratch removal on door sill (Cayman S plate)

Noticed a few scratches on the "Cayman S" plate on the drivers side door sill. It looks like aluminum but could be plastic to look aluminum. Was going to try semi-chrome polish but thought I would ask for some advice first.
