My dyno with the TPC turbo
My CS was stock before going in for the install. They were satisfied with the numbers of 408/340 and said it pulls harder than Mike’s car.

yeah I saw this earlier today but wanted to wait until you posted it. Certainly solid numbers and they attained those on lower boost than what Mike was running on his car. Evidently the new control unit and mapping has been yet another improvement. You ARE coming to Croctoberfest with the car aren't you?

Please...please...please...find a stock CS and do a rolling start "drag race". Get it on video. We need some action videos!
We need butt dyno numbers!
400 + RWHP. Incredible.

They had just done a 997 turbo and it dynoed at 415...I feel pretty good even without the comparison.
As for Crocfest, I'm not sure yet. TPC should be able to get the cars out faster now so there should be quite a few Cayman Turbos there by then.
There are usually 3 to 5 Caymans at the monthly GTG, so stay tuned for vids.

Unless it's just concidental, I think that was my friend's Carmona Red Cayman S which pulled 415 WHP on TPC's dyno after its TPC turbo install. It's also gotten a LWFW, GT3 LCA, bars, aero kit, blah, blah, blah. It already had a Quaife TBD and PSS9s. It arrived at TPC with Milltek catbacks and Softronics flash, but they're both gone. The Milltek headers have remained. Current plans are that we'll be driving it to the Petit Le Mans/Croctoberfest.
As an aside, it's recommended that the car be driven with PSM on to avoid wheelspin when it's punched ... in 3rd.

PSM - Porsche Stability Management
|
 |
While it can’t overcome the laws of physics, the revolutionary Porsche Stability Management (PSM) system does lend an added degree of balance and control to the Cayman’s mid-engine driving dynamics, inspiring surefooted confidence in corners and extreme situations.
A standard feature on the Cayman and Cayman S, PSM continuously monitors steering input, road speed, yaw velocity and lateral acceleration to calculate the actual direction of travel. If the car begins to steer off line, PSM instantly intervenes with precision brake inputs on individual wheels to help bring the car back onto the driver’s intended path.
If braking alone isn’t enough to correct the vehicle’s cornering line, PSM then calls on the Cayman’s engine management system, adjusting engine output as needed to help stabilize handling. PSM can also compensate in an instant for mid-corner changes in load resulting from deceleration or braking. When Sport mode is selected with the optional Sport Chrono Package, PSM’s threshold for intervention is raised, allowing for greater driver involvement. If you prefer driving without automatic PSM assistance, the system can be set to standby at any time. In this case, it will only intervene under heavy braking, where both front wheels exceed the ABS threshold.
For all of its technical ability, PSM goes virtually unnoticed in everyday driving situations, preserving the Cayman’s natural agility. |

I've seen the other posts, but how much did it set you back?
Dan, would that be Paul's car?

This is interesting, will this system also work on a 2.7 (I assume it would).

Am I reading this right. Less power and torque than stock CS until 5,000 RPM?

It was a coincidence. I asked about the mods on your friend’s car before and with the Milltek headers it showed an 8 hp gain. Too bad the catbacks didn’t fit and the flash wasn’t compatible with their kit.
Before even buying the car I was planning on getting a 3.8 swap, a SC, or a turbo so I waited before getting any mods. I was tempted in getting new exhaust tips but they even came with the kit.

The cost of the kit was around 10 with 3 days of labor.
It was Paul’s car from the pics that Dan posted before..

I don’t know how it changes from a 3.4 install, but a 2.7 kit is planned.

Compare the stock blue HP curve to the turbo red HP curve. The faint blue and faint red lines are the before and after torque values.
From 3500 to 7000, hp gains are 55 to 150 rwhp and torque is increased from 85 to 115 lb-ft.
