Most Powerful NA Cayman in the World!
Or something like that! Here is the latest dyno chart (hi-res versions in other topic thread and in gallery)
Power at the WHEELS:
331.4 HP
259.3 ft/lbs torque ( had a higher torque figure (262) on another run but lower HP (330.3) )
Dyno chart of stock vs. modified:
I figure that makes it the most powerful naturally aspirated 3.4L Cayman in the world, unless someone has a bigger/better dyno chart? All in good fun of course!

With the "new" SRP flash file, yes.

Ken, Are you still using an under drive pulley and a lightened flywheel?

KmanS, I have the same Engine mods as you other than I have Milltek and you have the Capristo exhaust. But I dont get your "power levels".
Shall we change this thread title to the "most powerful reading dyno in the world" ? LOL

Well then I'd suggest you get the Capristo and run a North American ECU on a Mustang dyno. Engines vary from the factory, they factory only guarantees minimum HP not maximum. I also have a flash you don't have since our ECU's are different.

It would be nice to see your car on the same dyno that Gatorbite uses.

Ken,
I think the underdrive pulley for the Cayman is sold by Mantis and BBI.
Is the UNDERWEAR pulley a Fruit of the loom or a Hanes product ?
Why did you not install a underdrive pulley or (may be better) UNDERWARE pulley when your engine was out for repair ?

Did not failure of the UDP bolt cause the engine problem in the first place?
An Underwear Pulley is someone who gives you a wedgie!

If we are going to compare normally aspirated dynos, it would probably be most accurate to display corrected BHP dynos. Since we know that every dyno sees a different drivetrain loss, comparing RWHP isn't going to be very accurate.
I bet you still have the most powerful NA 3.4 though. Very impressive....

Yes I was making a funny, but I did not install the UDP at the time because Porsche was doing the work. It was not the cause of the engine issue I had, only something that was affected by it. Now that there are identified new belts to use I may install another UDP, that is as long as it doesn't give me a wedgie...

Yeah I mean even if the dyno I use is off by 5% which would be HUGE in terms of calibration, etc. that would be what about 15hp off, even if we deduct 15 hp from my numbers I still think that puts it higher than any other NA car I've seen dyno'd. I'll get it on another dyno at some point as well for a different test and see, just haven't had the opportunity lately...

Hi Ken! Well done on your dyno result!
Is there anything particular related to the "new" Softronic file, as you call it?
Many thanks,
Wurlie

So Ken, I think I know most of the mods you've done:
(Power Related Mods)
Capristo system - (25-30 hp)
SRP +software - (20 hp?)
Evo Intake
Desnork
Lightweight Flywheel (doesn't effect hp numbers)
What am I missing that gets you so much power?

Scott told me he changed some values in some of the tuning and wanted to see the results on my car so I flashed with that, you'd have to ask Scott what he changed in particular if he's willing to share the details since most tuners consider it a black art.

Well let's take your own figures there, if I have a gain of 65 hp over stock and we deduct out 30+20 in your first 2 items that's 50, leaving 15hp left over to be split up among Evo intake, desnork, lwf, internal engine modifications, etc. I think it would be impossible to assign any particular value to any particular modification because those values would change as other mods are added. For example adding an EVO intake might initially get you 5-7hp if you did that and that alone, but afteryou free up the exhaust and tune the ECU that intake might be worth 12-20hp, who knows? Again, this dyno number is for reference purposes only and for my car only as an indication of where the car is at today vs. where it has been at in the past. It is not intended to be "proof" of any particular results for anyone else and their cars.

Dyno charts ar too easy to Photoshop.

Find a local 997 owner on one of the other Porsche forums and throw down the gauntlet.
