Yes,.. but only in a somewhat contrived way. The new ALMS rules allow Porsche to carry much more fuel than the Audi's LP1 cars. At the time that the Audi's had to make their last pit for fuel,..( a fuel pit stop Porcshe's didn't make),... both Audis were winning the race. The rules were changed this last year so that other cars could compete with the Audi's.

The Porsches didn't seem to need any help last year to win 8 in a row. And they (the Spyders) were made heavier this year. Besides, I was talking about coming back after being beaten by Acura at Long Beach.

The Spyders only had to put on 54 pounds as opposed to the proposed 108, Porsche convinced them to 1/2 what they were going to do, couple that with the fuel advantage and life for the Spyders got easier, not harder.

I missed what happened in GT2, did Salo wreck again? Were there really only 2 cars in the GT1 class meaning I could have entered and taken podium?

I watched some of it on Speed and never did I see anything listed in GT1 other than the 2 Corvettes.
