Read the article associated with the pictures from Le Blog Auto, translated from French to English by clicking here. I guess they've passed the embargo date over there, so the sites have been updated.

Whoa! That's bold! I'm shocked!

Just kidding, better wait seeing it live, those rear lights don't look bad but it's just a minor re-touch really, roll on 998...

I love the new front bumpers w\ larger air damps and LED driving lamps, but the rear lights look droopy and too big. The previous 997 lights flowed much better with the design. As many have said they changed lights just for the sake of changing them and so people couldn't do easy retrofits of led lamps, they have to change the bumper too... not a good move.

Agree but best part of facelift is new wheels- the new 19" S wheels are sick- should look good on Cayman S.

Best part of the facelift is the new PCM/climate control/universal audio interface. But agreed.. new wheels are much better than the old carrera III and Carrera S lobster forks they are replacing.

Man, reading that horrible translation of the article was hilarious...

"The Painful" was a paragraph title, and here's some quotes for those that don't read the whole thing:
"...the new version of its GT doing office door banner in its range for decades."
"...put at the top to make a Beetle a little more vitamins than others"
"The shields are obviously redesigned with a new location of flashing forward." (cool, star trek shields now available!)
"A box PDK which draws faster than his shadow "

Anyway, the tail lights look terrible, IMHO. They made me think of Mr. Magoo squinting.
