Re: Porsche Presents First Photos of Four-Door Panamera Gran Turismo

Well, it's not bad. I'm not sold on the back end (though I guess the hatch will be practical), and the LED's in the front bumper seem a little over-done, but overall the shape is pretty nice.

I have no doubt it will be a great driving car, but will it sell?

Re: Porsche Presents First Photos of Four-Door Panamera Gran Turismo

I think the proportions and general shape are fine, but the gills on the sides of the front fenders are an unnecessary distraction... and the P O R S C H E lettering on the tailgate/ trunk is gaudy. A more subtle brand-identification would be better. My $.02.

Uhhh. Definitely agree with the comment about the PORSCHE lettering on the rear. Just not sure about this car - none of the pictures except the head-on shot are particularly flattering. I'll withhold final judgement until I see it in person. But I hope Porsche does well with it.

Dave:

You posted up the wrong pic. This one highlights the never-seen-before side blades:

okay, definitely not a fan of the Panamera. That rear end resembles too many Japanese cars in its shape. I can not see myself buying that car at all! (though I will test drive it )

If you want a 4-door luxury supercar, see and drive the Maserati Quattroporte. Everything else is meaningless.

Re: Porsche Presents First Photos of Four-Door Panamera Gran Turismo

Porsche really should have tried harder to design another me too sport sedan. What were they thinking. I'm one of the people that like everything about it already (except the price).

Wait until it's availble in the flesh. I think once you realize how wide and low it sits, many opinions will change.

I love the Quattroporte, but the Porsche is just a different interpretation.

Re: Porsche Presents First Photos of Four-Door Panamera Gran Turismo

Looks like we may have "Panamera Haters" without giving it a chance yet. I personally like it. I think the back end will grow on others. In order to have a lot of trunk space and ample room for the rear passengers, I don't think they had much choice. This is form following function so I have no problems with that. And, if it performs like they say it does, then it is a winner in my book.
