Re: J.D. Power Quality Study: Porsche receives quality award

I just filled out the initial quality survey for my wife's new car and I must say you are encouraged to skip over all the problems listed and just put down 'no problems' and sign and be done with it. As it just so happens, this was actually the case with her new Genesis, there hasn't been a single a problem with it so the initial quality survey I filled out reflected that fact. I don't know where Hyundai has rated in the past but the Genesis is so far a spectacular vehicle and a great value for the $.

I saw this yesterday. Hyundai was actually pretty high up... 4th I believe behind Lexus, Porsche and Cadillac.

What shocked me was how poorly MINI and smart did, they were Land Rover and Jaguar bad.

I think its pretty meaningless, what constitutes a "problem" for one buyer of one car in one segment may not even occur to another buyer in another segment as well. Apples to Oranges.
