I am looking at a pre-owned Cayman S and based on the this forum a knowledgeable poster said be sure to get the CPO report and REV range report. I've sen both but need help with REV range report interpretation.
The dealer stated
"The REV Report is outstanding.* It is the cleanest I have seen.* It shows 72 iterations in the RANGE 1 (7200 – 7500 RPM) range and ZERO occurrences for all other ranges (stages).* Copy of range report and copy of measurement standard attached.* In the measurement standard example, you will see 1897 ignitions in Range 1, 747 in Range 2, etc, etc.* It also illustrates that possible engine damage does not occur until you reach or exceed Range 4.
The Cayman, at 72 Range 1 ignitions, is remarkably good."
Any thoughts about this statement from knowledgeable owners.
If it looks good I will pull the trigger and move from a BMW 530 to a Cayman. My fault should have never done the test drive last month because that is all I think about and I cannot stop smiling!!
