Re: Looking at ordering a 2010 PDK S

I'm glad I took the time for a road trip yesterday to test drive the CS again. What I found is I couldn't get comfortable with the manual seats, due to not being able to tilt down the front. So that non-essential option is a must now.

On the convenience and appearance fronts, it's how much you want to spend. Only thing you can easily upgrade is wheels, but it's a lot cheaper to order the car with the ones you want from the get go.

Finally, just see the HUGE depreciation hit even pristine CSs took, so I'd order as few options as possible. I used to buy my cars fully optioned thinking I'd keep them forever, but NONE of the many I've bought have stayed more than a few years and a few thousand miles, so now I take that advice myself. Good luck.

My order is going to be a manual for 2010 however I have spent lots of time at the dealership playing My list is long and if you do the same and add PDK you will be at 80K or more. Here are my specs
power seat, seat ventilation, floor mats in interior color, heated seats, automatic climate control, 19 inch wheels, universal auto interface, bluetooth, bose, storage lid bin porsche crest, headrest crest, mirrors and rain sensor, bixenon lights,Gt silver, natural brown leather, leather rear console, leather steering column, As of now I am at around 78k pretty loaded but I love my toys... Add your PDK and like I said you will actually be over 80K Good luck and congrats on your order

Re: Looking at ordering a 2010 PDK S

Much discussed topic here.

There is no good option list for all people.

One thing to keep in mind though,.....the best Cayman for you will be the one with the least amount of options that suits your needs and likes. In other words, don't add options thinking you will get more out of the car at resale time. And while many owners tell themselves they will never sell this car, the truth is most will sometime in the future.

Having said that, $20k of options may only translate into $2k over a Cayman with no options in the resale arena. So choose wisely and make your brain work a bit, not just your heart!

I love my Atlas Grey paint, and chose it because it was "only" $700 at the time, then two years later it became a "special" paint (yeah right ) with a $3k price tag. Would I have still chosen it at $3k,....heck no, and it may only be worth $100 to the person I sell it to in the future. So get what you like, but be sensible.
