Need Help with offer price for 2007 Cayman S

Hey Guys,

This forum is very informative so I figured it would be a great place to post my question. I found a couple of brand new 2007 cayman S and wanted to know what would be a good starting point for purchase offers. The sticker prices range from high 60s to low 70s. I appreciate any advice you guys may have. thanks

It depends how they are classified: are these dealer demo vehicles, service loaner cars, or actually zero mile new car inventory??

Have the cars been "punched"? Meaning ask the dealer if the warranty clock has started. That happens and should be disclosed to the buyer and taken into consideration when discussing price.

Wow! Porsche would have forced the dealer to as other have said, "punch" the car which means the warranty started. Usually for an 07 this would mean a warranty start date of 6/08. If warranty is a concern you may ask the dealer to certify the car.

The tricky part is that your deal will really boil down to how much the dealer is willing to loose and by the fact that they still have these cars in inventory shows they would rather wait then take a loss.

I would suggest MSRP - 12% -$3000 = starting offer

Hey, I'd like a crack at the other, if you don't mind .

But if you can get new '08s for $20K below MSRP (McKeena Porsche), I expect more than that. Let me know when you're done with the deal to give the other a try... if I haven't bought one already . Good luck.

Re: Need Help with offer price for 2007 Cayman S

As a point of reference I purchased a 2007 CS dealer car with 3300 miles, sticker $65,900 for $44,500 + $1800 to CPO. They had punched out the warranty and I only had a little over 2 years left so that is the reason for the CPO but it is well worth it IMO. Don't know if that is a good deal but I'm happy with the car and it is less than I would have paid for a new 335 coupe. Good luck.

I don't see any listed there for $20K off.

You're late to the party buddy. But Walter's Porsche at Riverside has 4 more at $20K below MSRP as well, but none has power seats (a must for me). And they don't show on Porsche national website, so call. Heck, I'm going to start charging finders's fee . Good luck man.
