Is PORSCHE done leasing good rates?

suddenly leasing a porsche is complete junk atm. payments last month would of been $900 now are $1200. Is porsche going to adjust rates again soon or wonder if they will be stuck on this fixed rates now.

If Porsche is low on cash it may not be able to afford to subsidize leases as they have done in the past. You might check with our sponsor LeaseCompare.com to see what kind of deals they can come up with.

Our rates are a lot lower than PFS. Residuals are too but it's better to have a lower rate and a realistic residual.

Re: Is PORSCHE done leasing good rates?

I agree 100% and I'd love to do that. The problem is the vehicle I want is a NEW 2008 which suddenly PFS has changed from a % residual, to now a fixed residual. This makes the lease payments silly.

It appears that no bank will lease a NEW 2008, or atleast USBANK which appears it will, will not allow me to adjust the MRSP to the actual MRSP of the vehicle on a 2008?

To make matter worse it appears USBANK has a .00456 money factor on new 2008 cs? ouch.

Leasing a NEW 2008 just doesn't seem practical anymore, hopefully I'm wrong and there is a bank that will handle it with a decent residual & mf.

Many Thanks

More often than not we in the business are accused of lying when we say the deal today is going away tomorrow. You're paying the price of waiting a bit too long. Many think the sticker price will keep falling if they wait, and indeed they are correct. Meanwhile the residual keeps falling as well and eventually turns into a static number like any other "used" car. The MSO says it's new, but it's still a 2008...it may as well be used.

Leftover cars are great deals to those who love to pay in cash and drive a car for several years. New cars are always the best deal in leasing, with the exception of CPO cars(2-3 years old) that happen to have low miles, great condition, etc.

I'll respectfully take issue with this as well. The primary motivation to lease for me is to reduce my exposure to risk. The second consideration is payment, and whether the low payment comes from rate or residual makes no difference. People who lease usually intend to keep the car through their term and replace it with another all the while staying covered with warranty. Whichever method on the same car got the payment lower wins, period.

That sums it up for me as well.

I agree but unfortunately we get many calls a day where someone needs to get out of a lease early (Just browse the listings on LeaseTrade.com) and they are so upside down in a subsidized residual lease that it's economically painful.

Right now if the captive is not offering a lease program on an '08 there are no competitive bank programs available.
