I don't have any experince with them but was curious if you were you lokking at their Cayman S Sport? I was going to call them tomorrow on it, but won't bother if you're trying to pick it up.

Re: Auto Palace Porsche Pittsburgh, PA

Hello Donald,

I purchased my 2007 CS from Auto Palace in May of 2007 and my experience has been excellent. The dealership's owner was an auto enthusiast/collector long before he bought the business and his genuine passion for cars pervades the entire establishment. He also has a priceless collection of legendary Porsches, Ferraris, Cobras and etc. in his private auto museum on the top floor.

Although it is not the largest nor most elaborate facility (although recently remodeled), I don't think you could find a nicer group of people to work with. Please feel free to contact me if there is any specific information I can might be able to provide to you.

Regards,
Joe

Re: Auto Palace Porsche Pittsburgh, PA

When I was shopping for my Cayman S last year I did a test drive at the Auto Palace. Later, I took my girlfriend's VW there to be detailed. While I was very impressed with the Ferarri Enzo being delivered to the Auto Palace owner at the time I went to pick up the VW, I was not at all impressed with the detail job I paid for. Subesquently, I spoke with several people who I knew had Porsches and they universally told me to deal with the Sewickely Car Store, they raved about customer service.

I bought the car from Sewickley and have not been disappointed. When I had a problem with scratched wheels from mounting the winter tires, they told me to wait until the season ended and I had swapped my winter wheels off for the summer ones. They then sent someone to my house to pick up the wheels from my back yard. When they are finished, the wheels will be brought back to me. That sure beats the hell out trying to figure out how I was going to transport 4 wheels back to the dealer in my Cayman.

Joe, do you have a landscaping business? Your name rings a bell.

Larry

Re: Auto Palace Porsche Pittsburgh, PA

For what it's worth: I've been a member of the local Pittsburgh region (Allegheny) of the PCA for over 25 years.

Auto Palace has been supportive of the club and I have not heard any negative comments regarding anyone's purchasing experience there.

That being said: I have purchased 4 Porsche's from Sewickley Porsche and none from Auto Palace.

If Auto Palace had the car that I wanted and at the right price I would not have a problem purchasing from them.

It sound like they have a car that you want and if your feel that the price is fair---go for it and enjoy.

Bart

Re: Auto Palace Porsche Pittsburgh, PA

Hello again,

I picked up my new 2008 Cayman from Auto Palace last Friday -- I give the overall experience a B or 8/10. I made the deal over the internet and feel I got a great price on a "leftover" 2008. The salesman was not quick to respond and at one point I wasn't sure whether he was dealing in good faith. However, when I picked up the car all was as promised -- it was detailed, garaged, all was as advertised (perfec condition) and ready to go. This is my first Porsche and I couldn't be more pleased at this point. I still can't believe it when I go out to my garage and see a Porsche.

Thanks to those who responded!

cheers,
Donald
