need help buying a cayman s

i live in L.A. im 21 i have badd/fresh credit and im looking to buy a used cayman s i am willing to put as much as 35,000 down and my question is should i have a problem getting finaced if not were should i buy it, should i buy from a dealer or private party. I dont want more then a 10,000 dollar loan max price 43,000 tops someone please help me looking to buy very soon

P.s. Is this an everyday car this will be my only car

I would think with $35k you can walk off the lot with an 06 or 07 CS with a bit of haggling. Do a used cayman search on autotrader, cars.com and ebay motors. Also check the local dealer websites listed through porsche.com.

You have waited this long and saved up a lot more than most folks so don't rush the issue. Find what you want and take it easy. That is a lot of money to put down but if that is what it takes than go for it but be sure you get what you want. You don't want to be car poor, like many folks in Cali are with their homes......

Good advice above. And don't make the mistake that a lot of people do and shop for price not condition. This FAQ on buying a used Cayman may prevent some mistakes as well.

You can continue saving and prices will continue falling. Eventually (probably soon), the points intersect.

Tons of options, but i'd read the FAQ on the disadvantages of the ceramic brakes.
