Hello all,

I'm looking for some price-point advice for a private sale on a used 2008 Cayman S. Here are the details:

One owner, 13k miles, Guards Red, Preferred Package, Bi-Xenon headlamp package and Carrera S wheels. MSRP was just under 65k.

Granted there would likely be some adjustment based on location (this one happens to be in the midwest) but what is a fair private sale price in your opinion?

I know a few dealers in Wisconsin that are selling their remaining 2008 CS stock for about 20-21% off MSRP. One they showed me was $64,480MSRP selling for $50,900. A used private sale one should be well below this.

Zimbrick in Madison and it looks like they have 5 CSs and 1 base left. International in Waukesha has one left I think, Meteor Grey, MSRP $66K for $53K.

With leftover 08 CS's going for $53k is $45k reasonable for private sale?

Hooligan: Edmunds has an average trade-in price of around $41,750. I would shoot for that amount, but only if you like the options on the car.
