Re: don rosen of pa.

No experience but have you looked at Porsche of the Mainline outside Philly? They are a site sponsor and have cut some pretty good deals for members in the past. If you call them ask for Paul Nogrady.

I tried to when I bought my '06 almost 3 years ago. I spoke to their premier Porsche sales specialist and he never got back to me after saying he would look for a car that met my specs. I took my business elsewhere. Good luch where ever you go.

Re: don rosen of pa.

I went back and fourth with a salesman there a couple times. I got the impression that he was too busy to be botherd with me. He would promise to call me back with info within an hour and I would get a phone call back 3 days later.

Ultimately I got tired of chasing him. We bought 2 new Porsches from Holberts in Warrington. Holberts were great to deal with.

Re: don rosen of pa.

I bought a Cayman from Rosen November 2007. I felt I got a fair price and the transaction was business like. My salesman was Shawn Savage and I believe he is still there. I have had minor service and minor warantee work done which was satisfactory.

If you have an issue with a sponsor dealer then please report the details of that issue to me and I will follow up with the dealer to address any concerns.

Re: don rosen of pa.

Bought my 08 Cayman from Don Rosen last February. The price was good, salesman attentive and helpful and the service department responsive. Would recommend them.

Re: don rosen of pa.

Did not buy from Don Rosen, but have my car serviced there. So far no complaints. Price for yearly service was right around the average from what I read on the boards.

If you do buy there, speak to Michael Pelberg in service, good guy, explains things very clearly.

They got a PDE1 in the showroom, definitely worth taking a look at.

I test drove an Audi with Shawn last summer, good guy. Unfortunately for him, I had to walk through the Porsche showroom to get to that car. Needless to say, he didn't sell that TT that day.

Hi Guys,
I'm new to the forum!

Pointnumber1, I've been drooling over that PDE1 in their showroom. But I won't be ready for a new car until the end of the year.
Since I'm uneducated about Porsche, are there deals to be had at the end of a calendar year? I'm sure leasing would not be an attractive option given the 2008MY.

Re: don rosen of pa.

ever thought of Winner Porsche in Delaware - Alex Witham is the man to talk and he's actually into the cars !!
They put together a great Cayman demo car and popped it on the DE we ran last year at Thunderbolt - they've done a few mods for customer cars - Josh Fletcher is the Service manager to talk with...

I just bought my 2008 Cayman S Sport (as in a week ago) from Don Rosen. Talk to Howard in showroom. Fellow enthusiast and great guy to work with.

You're right about the lease deals on 2008. It worked out better for me to buy my '08.

Thanks for the contact racerboy.

I figured there would be no lease deals for left over '08s; same situation with BMW (or any brand for that matter). I've seen other dealers CPO some of their left over 08's. Was your Sport CPO'd? I wonder what that would entail?

Did you happen to see that DE1 in their showroom?
