Kerbed my wheel
Ok, bad, bad luck today.
I have never kerbed the wheel of any of my car before, but today in my cayman - I did it twice!!
Still feeling a bit stupid to bring it to my dealer - any suggestions out there?

Hey bro i'm from Australia suggestion is don't worry about it at all! just take it in and they will refurbish your rims that got curbed(not sure who is good in your area but look around locally),won't cost that much, few hundred depending on how bad you did it
Don't stress tho as we all have done it at some point!
How is your Cayman in NZ?

Hey man, I totally bent the rim off from a pot hole!! Surprised the tire isn't deflating. Be happy it is not worse.

As long as it's not chrome, it can be repaired ("Nu Wheel" here) to be imperceptable, costs about $75 to do a wheel.

Aluminum alloy wheels are easily repaired so not to worry. You're not the first to get curb rash and you won't be the last.

Autopia is good, many thanks.
I will chill - but really, to never done it before - ever and then to kerb it twice in a day is just awful. I still havent told my wife yet!
Ty - driving the CS down here is sweet. The backroads are the best - not much traffic, beautiful scenery, some nice bendy bits and some juicy straights. My own Porsche heaven.

You have two choices: 1. You can find someone near you who specializes in wheel repair. I use "The Ole Wheel Shop" in MD and they do a fantastic job. For just a sanding and repaint they will charge about $100 for each wheel which includes balancing and remounting. They usually take a couple of days to complete the repair. 2. There are mobile specialists who can do minor repairs at any location that has access to AC. They are great for minor repairs and charge around $60 a wheel.
If you don't know of anyone, I'd suggest that you call your Dealer for recommendations. Don't schedule the repair through your Dealer however, since they will add a markup just for processing the service order.

Nobody gives you more ways to get the look you want:
1. Purchase new Porsche Factory alloys.
2. Purchase like-new used or restored Porsche alloys from us.
3. Have us refinish your Factory alloys. We restore, anodize, polish and chrome plate.
4. Purchase our aftermarket wheels--we offer the very best, including Kinesis, Fikse, BBS, HRE and Champion to name a few.
5. Exchange your straight, true Factory alloys for Factory alloys pre-finished the way you want.
6. Exchange your scratched/curb damaged Factory alloys for new or refinished Factory Alloys.
7. Trade in your straight, true Factory alloys for aftermarket or Factory wheels.
