So the other week I hit a pothole, took some rubber off the tire, and had a bit of curb rash - about 8 inches worth on my 19 Sport Design wheels.
So I thought of two options, either try to fix it myself or order a new wheel, then my friend who runs a Firestone shop told me of a third option. So I weighed all the options and really thought I was going to the DIY route. I had all the tools, the can or wurth paint to boot, and a few guides.
But I called this guy my friend had recommended just to see what the price would be. $75 to $100 was his estimate. Then I weighed my options again...only this time I went with the guy who gave me the estimate. He was from alloy
wheel repair and let me tell, awesome job and he came right to my house and did the job right in my driveway on a saturday morning.
He charged me $85 and was there for about 75 minutes. It looks great...aside from some rubber missing from my tire you couldn't tell. I think he used some green and white technology or something.
I am in no way associated with this place just a happy customer and wanted to pass along the info to my forum members. I'm sorry this sounded like a freakin' commercial...at least I didn't put on my Billy Mays voice and say but wait there's more...if you act right now...

I can only image what it would have looked like if I did the job myself or what my wallet would have looked like if I went with a new wheel.
I would post before and after shots but I never had a shot of the before and the after shot looks like a new wheel.
