Which color for new pinstripe??

Hi guys, I was thinking of changing the color of my pinstripe. I currently have red. But it's kinda common now. What do you guys think will be nice? I am thinking about orange, yellow or green. I will paint the calipers too. Please give recommendations. Thanks

Re: Which color for new pinstripe??

Personally I like frog green (I dream of a frog green GT3RS) , but I have seen black Caymans with green accents and to me they seem like they are trying to be a spin off of ther Goblin in a Batman movie. Yellow is too common as well as a main color.

I saw a Gemballa (black) Cayman with yellow accents that was pretty cool.

I think the Black GT3 RS which is black with orange accents is nice as well.

If I had to pick a color it would be yellow.

How about white? Could be cool but who knows.

Personally, I like the red.

Re: Which color for new pinstripe??

I would leave it as is. Looks cool. But if you must paint than why not the intakes in Red and the Cayman badge in red.

Re: Which color for new pinstripe??

I like the red too, though I suppose GT orange or green might look good.

Just out of curiosity, how is the pin-stripe applied (paint, decal, ?)?

Re: Which color for new pinstripe??

It looks pretty awesome as it is, but if you have to change it, I'd go with orange or light blue (the last issue of excellence has a black 997TT with light blue accents done by Cargraphic and it looks really good, plus it's very original - btw that one is one seriously quick car).

The pinstripe is painted

for all the comments guys. The reason I am thinking of changing the color is that the paint at one of the the pinstripes chipped off. And I would have to repaint the pinstripe. The guy who took out my tire wasnt careful enough.

I think i'll probably stay with red or switch to GT3 RS orange. Thanks again.

Re: Which color for new pinstripe??

I vote for leaving it red. Your car is striking just as it is without being too loud.

I agree on the green but then you should really change up your brake calipers too

Re: Which color for new pinstripe??

I found this pic somewhere. It has green pinstripe. Has to admit it looks pretty good. Rare color. But if I do green, we would be kinda like a twin except for the body kits and wheels

prodgers, what you said is quiet true, but you are bias Most black wheels have polish/chrome/silver lips or pinstripe, so its common too But not for yellow.

Paint up the lips man!! Maybe you can go yellow.

Re: Which color for new pinstripe??

Saw your car parked yesterday afternoon in West LA. Looks good man...I like the way it was sitting, what suspension work have You done?

As for the pinstripe, I dunno if You're local to this area or not, but I work just up the street from where You were and I see a new blacked out M3 with a similar green pinstripe on his black wheels a few times a week. Looks quite nice. Infact it looks like the entire lip may be anodized but who knows. Pretty eye-catching and not offensive at all. Although I cant imagine it looking too amazing with red calipers...

See ya around, if not, come join us in the canyons up PCH on Sundays...
