Got a great wheel brush.
Just thought I would show you guys the new brush I got from McMaster Carr for cleaning my wheels. As you can see from the pictures, it doesn't get into every little nook and cranny but it seems to work great for a quick wash or if you are knocking the big stuff off the wheels before a wash.
I was thinking that I would divert the flow of water more sideways to even the flow from the bristles but it seems to work very well with the stream coming out as you can pull back and rinse everything off as you go.
As I said before, it doesn't get everything absolutely clean, but for 25 bucks and not having to bend down to clean the wheels, I think it's a deal.

Re: Got a great wheel brush.
Ian,
It doesn't look like you got enough practice with that thing yet. Maybe you can try it out on my wheels on Monday evening.
Before or after the SRP install and Flash makes no difference to me.
You still dropping by tomorrow at Velocity Trends for my dyno runs?
In all seriousness, it does look pretty cool and would definitely save some wear on my old back....

Re: Got a great wheel brush.
Doesn't look like it would clean my wheels very well; pseudo-high pressure wash doesn't cut much with me; if there's not surfactants involved, there's not much 'cleaning' going on here.
Try that on Silver Wheels.

Hold on, so you can't get the brake dust off your wheels scrubbing them with a brush????
Man, what kind of pads are you running?

I'm an idiot- I only looked at your first photo and thought the brush was a stiff bristle, so you were just using it for the pressure spray and as an extension!
...I use a microfiber brush I got from *gasp* Autozone, works really great but you do have to get up close & personal.

I use the Autozone brush too, and it is the best I've found. It is awesome for cleaning the inside barrel of the stock 06-08 Cayman S wheels while they're still on the card.
